The whole family (working father, not working mother, children) is protected by health insurance, if the father is a member of an health insurance by law. And the company he works for pays 50 % of the insurance rates.
A friend of mind (freelance writer) recommended going to www.simplyhealth.com, but I also found the CareFirst site (carefirst.com) helpful and relatively affordable for this area. Check out other insurance providers that are more prevalent on your area. Hope this helps. ==========
This part deals with health insurance. The sustantial majority get it from a spouses fulltime job or their own job elsewhere or through a retirement program--or dont have any insurance at all. Otherwise Blue Cross/Blue Shield seems to be the only frequently mentioned response.
