Schlosser, Contracting Officer, 202-906-6193 The Office of Thrift Suision (OTS) will request proposals from firms operating as insurance carriers (no brokers, please) to provide, manage, and operate a dental and vision plan for (i) current and future active full-time and part-time OTS employees and their dependents; (ii) future retirees and their dependents; (iii) surviving spouses and dependents of deceased retirees; and (iv) temporary employees (non-permanent). One proposal will provide fixed rates for four levels of coverage featuring differing benefits and deductible amounts at each level for groups (i) through (iv). The contract will feature a base year running from June 15, 1998 through January 2, 1999 with two, twelve month option periods. A second proposal will be requested meeting the same requirements over the same periods of performance as the first but will cover only groups.
